December 9 - Dizzy the Dragon
Once upon a time, high in the mountains, there lived a friendly green dragon named Dizzy. Dizzy was unlike any other dragon because he had two beautiful, sparkling white horns on top of his head. These horns glistened like freshly fallen snow, making Dizzy the most unique dragon in the mountains, at least in the mountains that this story is about. Dizzy had a heart full of kindness and curiosity. He spent his days exploring the hills and valleys around him, and the forests below, speaking to the other animals, and making friends with them. The rabbits, birds, and even the wise old owl, Ollie, loved Dizzy's gentle nature.
One sunny morning, Dizzy decided to visit his best friend, Ruby the rabbit. Ruby had the most beautiful garden at the bottom of the mountain in the forest, filled with colorful flowers and delicious vegetables. Dizzy loved to help Ruby tend to her garden.
But Dizzy soared through the sky that day, he noticed dark clouds gathering overhead. The wind began to howl, and the trees swayed wildly. Dizzy, flying high above the trees, knew a storm was coming and he needed to warn his forest friends. He landed in front of Ruby's garden just as the first raindrops fell. Dizzy used his massive wings to shield Ruby's precious garden from the rain.
Ruby hopped out of her burrow, surprised to see Dizzy.
"Dizzy, you're just in time! Thank you for helping me," she exclaimed.
Dizzy smiled and nodded,
"I'll always be here for my friends, Ruby." His horns shimmered in the rain.
Soon, the other forest animals came to see what was happening, and marvelled at Dizzy's bravery and kindness. The storm raged, but Dizzy stood strong, his horns radiating light to keep the garden safe.
When the storm finally passed, the forest animals cheered for Dizzy's bravery and thanked him for protecting Ruby's garden. Dizzy's two white horns had never shone so brightly, lighting up the entire forest. From that day on, he was known as "Dizzy the Dragon with the Shining Horns." He would continue to explore the forest, make new friends, and be the guardian of kindness and light. He would lay on the mountain until his next visit to the forest, always with one eye on the horizon ready to protect his friends from the next storm.
